Ye NanQi was shocked after hearing his words.

Shen Du seemed to have become extraordinarily shameless after saying all that.

And calling him husband?

Ye NanQi thought about the possibility of throwing someone downstairs, then with a gentle smile, he said: “President Shen, why are you here? What about President Zhou?”

Shen Du choked.

There was no need for Ye NanQi to do anything like throwing him downstairs. With just this calmness and a polite smile, it was enough to make Shen Du feel uncomfortable.

He paused and didn’t deliberately put on airs. Knowing that Ye NanQi would come today, he specially prepared a table of fruits and snacks. After seeing Ye NanQi’s complexion turn a shade darker, Shen Du explained: “What a coincidence, I actually acquired this company not long ago, and only learned that you signed the contract today.”

Ye NanQi ate a few pieces of black sesame rice cakes, his eyes narrowing as he enjoyed the sweet fragrance of the rice cakes. Hearing his explanation, Ye NanQi gave him a cold glance, then continued to focus on his eating.

He could tell by the taste that Shen Du made it

Very well. Sure enough, that dream was fake. Wanting to eat the things made by Shen Duan, he didn’t need to… desire doing that.

From the day he was confessed to, this was the first time Ye NanQi met Shen Du. During the time they didn’t meet face to face, Ye NanQi’s heart was in chaos and was troubled, but when the person in question was right in front of him, Ye NanQi pretended to be calm, like nothing had ever happened.

Several times during their conversation, Shen Du wanted to say something, but couldn’t. Seeing Ye NanQi’s eyelids drooping as he crunched on the snack with his cheeks slightly bulging, looking soft and cute, he wanted to reach out and give his cheek a poke.

Shen Du also wasn’t impatient. Guessing that Ye NanQi hadn’t treated himself to a good meal after moving out, he was a bit angry and distressed.

Unable to take care of himself, yet still so stubborn. In order to achieve a certain goal, he preferred to do many things alone, only to realize that those efforts couldn’t help much. Not even giving a glance at a certain person by his side.

Hadn’t the thought that someone would place him on the top of their heart ever crossed his mind? And that it would be the most unbearable pain for the person who adores him, if he was hurt even a little bit?

Because Ye NanQi didn’t eat that instant noodles last night, and didn’t even have breakfast this morning, he was really hungry and just silently focused on filling his stomach for now. He choked a little while eating and frowned. Shen Du passed him a glass of warm water in a calm manner.

Time to settle accounts once I’m full.

Ye NanQi raised his head and asked without expression, “You didn’t know that I signed with Bo Sheng? Do you and Wen Chen take me for a fool?”

There were snacks crumbs stuck in the corners of his mouth that he didn’t notice. Shen Du wanted to laugh, but since his expression was so serious, he resisted the urge to smile and shook his head sincerely: “I’m just afraid that you’d be angry.”

“So you admit that you and Wen Chen fooled me into signing the contract?” Ye NanQi frowned. “Can I cancel the contract now?”

Shen Du took out his handkerchief and wiped the corners of Ye NanQi’s mouth. With a calm tone, he said: “You can ah, and the penalty is 20 million.”

Ye NanQi was shocked by this number and forgot to push him away: “…”

The ugly face of a capitalist was exposed.

Shen Capitalist carefully wiped the corners of his mouth. He deliberately applied a little force, and watched the corners of his lips turn red. Then the taste of those lips from a few days ago came to his mind, making him become a little bit impatient.

Anyway, he wasn’t neither a gentleman nor a widowed saint. Since he had confessed it all, he could do whatever he wanted without restraint. Taking advantage of Ye NanQi while he wasn’t paying attention, Shen Du quickly leaned over and kissed the corner of his lips.

Ye NanQi jumped in shock, but was pressed back to sit down by Shen Du. He smiled and said, “Of course, there is another option. How about being the president’s wife? You’ll be in charge of taking care of the money. You can give me a little pocket money every month to buy groceries. Oh, might as well give me a little more, so that I can use it to buy a bunch of flowers for you every day. Just make sure you don’t secretly use it for a loan.”

Ye NanQi kicked him angrily: “What a bad idea. And we’re already divorced, don’t start touching me randomly.”

“It’s only you who think we’re divorced. I’ve never agreed to it.” Shen Du sat in a comfortable position and let him kick as he liked. Anyway, Ye NanQi didn’t use much force, which led Shen Du to automatically interpret it as Ye NanQi was unwilling to hurt him. He was in a very good mood after stealing a kiss.

“Legally, we’re still married. You just said that I can’t touch you randomly when we’re divorced, but since we aren’t divorced, I can still touch you right?”

Ye NanQi had lived for so long. But for the first time, he met someone who was so polite, serious, and decent while playing a hooligan.

Being stared at by his criticizing eyes, Shen Du couldn’t continue. He felt that he shouldn’t rush things too much, coughed and stopped teasing him: “Okay, let’s talk about something serious.”

Ye NanQi looked at him cautiously: “We both seem to have nothing serious to talk about.”

“The news about that psychologist surnamed Chen.” Shen Du smiled like a big-tailed wolf with hidden intentions. “You don’t want to know?”

Ye NanQi was silent.

One of the reasons he wanted a divorce was because he didn’t want to pull Shen Du into the water, but after knowing what he was facing, this man, after being rejected by him several times, he actually still moved forward so fearlessly.

In his heart, Ye NanQi felt uncomfortable. Lowering his eyes, he concealed the panic he was feeling and then said lightly, “I don’t need you to do this. I just want you to ignore this matter in the future, and don’t involve yourself with even half of it.”

Shen Du was startled.

He knew what Ye NanQi was afraid of.

Ye NanQi was so afraid that this incident might involve him, indicating that he had a weight in Ye NanQi’s heart.

But this weight wasn’t enough… Until now, Ye NanQi refused to open his heart to him, unwilling to accept him, acknowledge him, and didn’t even want him to get mixed up in his matters.

Shen Du was distressed and uncomfortable, like there was a needle poking at his heart. He sighed, walked to Ye NanQi, and in the latter’s stunned eyes, he opened his arms and took him in his embrace. He took the opportunity to sniff at his neck, smiled and in a low voice, he said “good fragrance”, and then quickly let go before Ye NanQi reacted and punched at him.

“Okay, just like when we’re doing a transaction, I’ll give you the information you want, you give me my reward. Like what you and Xue XiangYu are doing, to use each other.”

Ye NanQi’s anger was suppressed by his words; he shook his head: “There is nothing I can use to exchange with you. You should not mix such things.”

“There is ah.” Shen Du snapped his fingers and said, “You are what I want, but if you aren’t willing, there is a second option. So, it depends on the value level of the information, if it’s not so urgent or important, just let me give you a hug, inhale two mouthfuls of your scent. If the information is important, let me give you a kiss, and if it’s particularly urgent or very important…”

He didn’t go on. He glanced at Ye NanQi, whose face became strangely, slightly red.

Because summer was approaching, Ye NanQi didn’t wear much; only a thin T-shirt which showed the outline of his body. In the past few days, Shen Du watched all the TV dramas that Ye NanQi acted in, and probably feeling it wasn’t enough, he watched all his advertisement clips and other variety shows as well.

In one TV drama, Ye NanQi performed a scene where he and his friend went to the beach, wearing only swimming trunks. His white flawless like jade skin was exposed.

The skin he once touched and kissed.

Ye NanQi was a little flustered by Shen Du’s words. Noticing that Shen Du paused and didn’t go on, a thought came to his mind and Ye NanQi could guess what Shen Du wanted to say next. He pretended to smile with his ears burning hot, saying, “I didn’t know that I was so valuable.”

Shen Du’s eyes softened as he calmly continued his pursuit: “You are priceless in my eyes.”

With everything obviously showing on his face, Shen Du took the gamble. Ye NanQi couldn’t stand the atmosphere any more. He got up and wanted to leave, but after taking two steps, he heard Shen Du say, “Chen Wen and Xu Zhou were classmates when they were young.”

Ye NanQi’s footsteps halted.

Knowing what he was most concerned about, Shen Du softened his voice: “Don’t always resist me like this. Even if I want to quit now, it’s already too late, not to mention you are in the midst of a storm. How can I just sit back and watch? Besides, if you don’t listen, I’ll just go report to officer Li.”

Ye NanQi shook his head and said, “You will regret…”

“Except for misunderstanding you before, I haven’t regretted anything in my life.” Shen Du smiled. “By the way, the office door is locked, and you can’t go out. You can only go out after listening to me.”

How… how come there was such a person?

Ye NanQi was so angry and amused that he sat back down and said, “Then you say it.”

“Sir, yes sir.” Shen Du saluted, pretending to pay a courtesy, and said, “Finding Chen Wen was also because of Xu Zhou. I always suspected Xu Zhou’s car accident and his death was fake. Because I wasn’t sure at that time, I went to check his social relationships. Later, I happened to hear your conversation with officer Li accidentally, talking about the psychologist with the surname Chen… Don’t stare at me, really, I really heard it by accident. Chen Wen and Xu Zhou had a very good relationship when they were young, however later, Chen Wen moved to another place and changed his surname ‘Ruan’ from his mother’s side, to Chen. Nevertheless, the two who hadn’t met each other for so many years occasionally contacted each other.”

“When he was in university, Chen Wen studied psychology and happened to be in the same university as Xu Zhou. The two met and became close again. After graduation, Xu Zhou built a private psychological counseling office, which became well-known in D City. I suspect that the psychologist your sister was consulting with was someone introduced by Xu Zhou. And after continuous investigation, that psychiatrist was really him.”
(Note: in the original text the name was really Xu Zhou. I’m not sure if I’m right, but one; maybe Xu Zhou opened it for Wen Chen. Two, the name might be wrong.)

After Shen Du finished speaking, Ye NanQi blinked. His face was cold, and looked fierce with a frown; a look which wasn’t very attractive to children. However, when he smiled, his beautiful eyes were slightly bent, like a beam of starlight that remained in the dark night.

Ye NanQi’s hands shook unconsciously, and for a moment, he wanted to take the initiative to rely on him.

“How’s that?” Shen Du said with a smile. Three words were clearly written in his eyes – quickly praise me.

Ye NanQi briefly boasted to him with a “not bad” and waited for the follow-up.

The two big and small eyes stared at each other. Shen Du, who didn’t get the reward he imagined, sighed in disappointment. “… these people don’t have your sister’s diary, so they don’t know that such a psychologist exists, otherwise Xu Zhou would be targeted by them.”

Ye NanQi’s eyes brightened: “Xu Zhou is still alive?”

“I checked Chen Wen’s bank account transactions despite knowing it wasn’t a good thing to do.” Shen Du said as he quietly approached Ye NanQi, “It showed that from seven years ago, someone would transfer a sum of money every month from a specially made overseas account. After receiving the funds, Chen Wen would use it under the name of “Community Charity”, “Welfare Donations”, or “Console the elderly person of no family” and so on, in order to deceive his elder in the family.”

Previously, Li Hengran also said that Xu Zhou was a filial son. If he were still alive, it would be impossible for him to leave his old blind mother alone.

That overseas account was probably Xu Zhou’s.

There was evidence in Xu Zhou’s hands… in all likelihood it was the evidence that could force the police to formally file a case on Ye Mei’s accident again.

Ye NanQi really couldn’t wait to meet Chen Wen and ask where Xu Zhou was immediately. He took a deep breath, suppressed his excitement, and then said: “Thank you.”

“Saying ‘Thank you’ isn’t as satisfying as saying you like me. Okay, I’ve said it, it’s a deal between us. Just now, I’ve already got my reward.” Shen Du hooked his lips and smiled like a thief. “I would be happier if there were extra rewards.”

Ye NanQi casually said, “I’ll invite you to eat.”

Shen Du said: “Is it something that you make yourself?”

Besides Ye Wan, there wasn’t a second person in the world who was willing to tolerate Ye NanQi’s cooking. Ye NanQi froze for a moment: “Do you want to eat what I make?”

Shen Du nodded his head and added: “If you feel that your payment isn’t paid enough, just make me a meal.”

Ye NanQi looked at him weirdly for a while, thinking that it would be good to be able to scare Shen Du away, he nodded happily: “Fine.”

The two of them stayed in the office for less than two hours. When they came out, Wen Chen was already familiar with several people in the company.

The news of the company changing its boss made its way around the employees. However, they had no idea as to whoever the boss was. They just knew that he was a second-generation from a rich family in A city who was being too idle. Passing each day doing nothing, wasting only food and drinks and was thrown away by people at home to manage a company. They were all a little slack and even took Wen Chen to hide in the conference room to fight the landlord.
(Note: Playing card.)

Ye NanQi knocked on the door, titling his head to take a look, he heard Shen Du say from above his head, “Yo. Leaving the post without permission, and having fun at work, how many rounds have you won today?”

Several people looked up and saw the new president standing behind Ye NanQi. They looked at them with a smile, and suddenly stood up straight with cold sweat.

Shen Du looked at them one by one. Lowering his head, he leaned to Ye NanQi’s ear and said with volume that wasn’t low: “Um, you say, how should they be punished?”

Not wanting others to see that something was going on between them, Ye NanQi took two steps to the side and said with his eyes looking straight forward, “The punishment can be whatever President Shen sees fit. We are the employees and you are the boss. Wen Chen is my agent. If you want to deduct his salary, you can deduct mine as well.”

Shen Du nodded and frowned as he gave them a warning. After the others scurried away leaving only Wen Chen and Ye NanQi in the room, only then did he dismiss the grim fearful face of the King of Hell and said with a smile, “I’ll write a report of deducting my salary later.”

Ye NanQi: “Don’t Aren’t you supposed to deduct mine?”

“Mine is yours,” Shen Du said calmly. “Not to mention you have no salary.”

Ye NanQi: “…”

Wen Chen noticed that the atmosphere between the two wasn’t quite right. He tried to run knowingly, but was detained by Ye NanQi again.

Shen Du didn’t have much time. It wasn’t easy to take the time to accompany Ye NanQi for a while. Before leaving, he wanted to steal another kiss. But seeing Wen Chen standing to the side and staring, he could only change his thought of wanting to kiss him to touch his head, rubbing his hair instead. “I’ll come pick you up at night? Or go directly to your house?”

Ye NanQi brushed off his unruly hand: “Come to my house.”

Squatting down, and eating melon seeds while watching their exchange at the side, Wen Chen felt that the picture was quite weird. As if a wolf asked the rabbit “Can I eat you tonight?” and the rabbit obediently answered “Yes, I’ve washed, you can come to my house tonight.”

When Shen Du left, Wen Chen sneakily asked, “How far have you and President Shen developed? What did you do in his office for so long? There’s a rumor outside that you’re being applied the hidden rules by the CEO on the first day of coming to the company.”

Ye NanQi: “…”

“Was it really a hidden rule?” Wen Chen said with his eyes wide open. Noticing that Ye NanQi’s smile wasn’t quite right, he quickly changed the subject. “What was that about going to your house, my house just now? Are you two living separately?”

“Your gossip is really like Zhao Sheng.” Ye NanQi refused to answer any questions, “Let me make it clear first, did you team up with Shen Du to trick me into signing up with Bo Sheng?”

“Ancestor, tricking isn’t used this way.” Wen Chen was glad that Shen Du wasn’t present, otherwise he would be irritated to death. “I was afraid you weren’t willing. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Big BOSS is still your husband. This time I won’t be blind and won’t be in your way anymore.”

Ye NanQi shook his head. He wasn’t really angry about this but still didn’t want to tell Wen Chen anything about those dark and complicated things.

In fact, there was nothing to do much in the company. Ye NanQi returned home first and called to tell Li Hengran about the relationship between Chen Wen and Xu Zhou.

Li Hengran was also very surprised: “Help me say thanks to your husband.”

Ye NanQi’s earlobe became hot: “… not my husband. Since he’s already been paid, no need to thank him.”

Being a freeloader wasn’t good. In order to show that he was really grateful, Ye NanQi went to the kitchen to warm up first. After wasting a few eggs, he finally found the secret to making omelette rice.

As soon as it was 6 o’clock, Shen Du came and knocked on his door.

Ye NanQi was in a little chaotic situation before deciding to open the door.

He clearly wanted to push Shen Du a bit further away, but Shen Du’s attitude was too natural. Which led him to naturally couldn’t help but relax around him. He took a nice nap in the afternoon, and after waking up, he was very clear-headed; realizing that there seemed to be a pit in his brain.

Inviting him in his house, isn’t it just like leading the wolf into the house and eating his own flesh?

Ye NanQi was feeling complicated. He opened the door, but didn’t unlock the anti-theft chain, leaning out his head and said dully, “How about we eat out instead?”

Shen Du, who was very excited the whole day, and ran there as soon as he got off work:  “…”

Seeing him narrow his eyes as he knitted his brows, Ye NanQi shrank his neck, “I don’t know why, but seeing you now, I thought of the story of the ‘Little Rabbit, Be Good’.”

Shen Du couldn’t help crying: “Do I have to sing a nursery rhyme to get in?”

Ye NanQi snorted: “You can try?”

He just threw that sentence casually but Shen Du really took it seriously. When the big man lowered his head and looked at him, singing the first sentence “Little Rabbit, Be Good” with a smile, Ye NanQi almost spat out.

“……All right.”

Ye NanQi quickly stopped him and let him in.

After coming in, Shen Du touched his head with satisfaction: “Little rabbit is really good.”

“I’m two years older than you. Don’t you think it’s very unpleasant for me to hear you call me like that?” Ye NanQi held his arms across his chest and watched him change his shoes. “You should call me ge.”

“Okay.” Shen Du said and smiled at him, “Ge, I’m hungry.”

Ye NanQi sneered at the opportunity: “Such a big adult yet still acts like a spoiled child.”

Shen Du: “…”

After Ye NanQi served the achievements of his struggle (making omelette rice), Shen Du discovered that the test he had to go through afterwards was not only psychological but also physiological.

“Baby.” Shen Du forced himself to finish the omelet rice, drank two glasses of water, and asked in distress, “How did you manage living alone?”

Chapter 10: Wifi Signal

Translator: マイ

The moment Xiao Yao’s palm was patted on his shoulder, Ti Xiao felt like there were 100,000 grass growing, no, it was more like 100,000 Smurfs were rushing making ruckus within the deepest part of his heart.

But at the same time, somehow, the heart that was suspended in midair also seemed to have calmed down. Ti Xiao breathed a sigh of relief as if he was not ready to accept all these actions.

After all, he was just a child who had just graduated from kindergarten for less than twenty years.

“Are you free this Sunday?” said Xiao Yao as he gave Little Bunny another pat on the shoulder. “It’s about the matter inviting you for a meal.”

Being a teacher, Xiao Yao had winter and summer vacations and weekends as day offs. However, he wasn’t sure what Little Bunny’s job was. Because he was worried it might affect his working day, Xiao Yao chose Sunday out of convenience.

This Sunday, which meant, four days left.

This happiness came too suddenly.

“I’m free, I’m free.” Ti Xiao quickly answered; nodding his head like a chicken pecking rice, and even staring at Xiao Yao without blinking his eyes.

Xiao Yao ah Xiao Yao, see how tall and how handsome you are, make me really want to pursue you.

A poem was instantly written in his heart.

“That’s good.” Xiao Yao nodded his head slightly, but still a little concerned about the thing that he hadn’t pinched his face yet.

Surely, the two were just neighbors, and they both were big men. Making such a move might be a bit inappropriate and it was easy to misunderstand something.

Soon after, it was Ti Xiao’s turn to check his bill. Afraid that Xiao Yao would pay for him again, he hurriedly sent his shopping basket up.

Seeing Xiao Yao choose only a lunch box and a bottle of Oolong tea, Ti Xiao rolled his eyes a few times. Taking advantage of Xiao Yao checking his mobile phone  and without looking at his way, Ti Xiao took these two things from his hands, intending to pay it all together.

However, when their two hands touched each other, Ti Xiao secretly screamed in his heart a few times.

“Let me check it out for you. Sorry to trouble you last time.” Ti Xiao said thoughtfully, and at the same time as if he was afraid that Xiao Yao would take things back, he imitated what he was like last time by moving his own body to block the way, preventing Xiao Yao the chance to grab his stuff back.

But he really underestimated Xiao Yao’s height.

Xiao Yao stretched out his hand, his fingertips brushed past his cheeks, his long arms trapping over him as he easily brought back his belongings at the cash register.

When that hand had passed by him, Ti Xiao smelled a fragment of snow, clean and pure, and a little cold.

Ax for Xiao Yao, he also achieved half of his wish, making him feel really good.

“Thank you, but you don’t have to, I’ll do it myself.” Xiao Yao easily took the things back in his hands.

Although he understood that this was Little Bunny showing a good intention, from deep down, Xiao Yao seemed to have the essence of preferring others to owe him a little rather than him owing the other, even the slightest.

First he went to Ti Xiao and asked for wifi for usage, later then, in order to repay him, he invited Ti Xiao for a meal. Xiao Yao didn’t think anything was wrong with that.

On the contrary, if Little Bunny were to pay for his own stuff, Xiao Yao would feel restless and uncomfortable everywhere.

Without Xiao Yao knowing, Ti Xiao stuck out his tongue embarrassedly.

If he said no, it’s a no then. After all, the two of them were neighbors, and their doors were just right opposite each other, there would be many other opportunities in the future.

Walking out of the convenience store, the two didn’t repeat the same action like last time by walking all the way home without talking to each other.

And it was still Xiao Yao, who came forward and started the conversation: “May I be bold and ask what do you do?”

“I draw at home.” Ti Xiao was a little hungry. He took a pack of potato chips and started stuffing it in his mouth.

His action was like he was hungry, but it was actually because of nervousness. After all, he walked side by side with the male god. Just now, he touched his small hand and patted his small face. Ti Xiao was so excited that he didn’t even know where to put his hands, so he wanted to find something to do.

By chewing and clawing the potato chips in the bag as they walked together, the clattering noise could really cover up the flustered Ti Xiao Xiao pretty well.

Hearing the word “drawing”, Xiao Yao froze for a moment. He didn’t expect that Little Bunny would be this low-key, concealing that could actually draw. He asked, “What are you drawing?”

“Oil painting.” Ti Xiao chewed the crunchy potato chips, and lied without batting an eye.

After all, the profession of manga artist was still very small and could only be accepted by a few people. And because he was someone who drew Danmei manga and had to move out when he was in college, it sounded too overwhelming to bring it up.

(Danmei: BL.)

This made Xiao Yao stun again. He nodded and said, “Oil painting is pretty good.”

“But you speak English very fluently ah, did you study abroad?” Originally the potato chips weren’t that many in one packet, yet Ti Xiao still grabbed it one by one and ate it until now because he was nervous. After eating for a while, he finally and carefully spoke one sentence.

“It’s still okay. Even after spending a few years abroad, I can barely communicate with foreigners.” Xiao Yao said modestly. A small radian appeared from the corner of his mouth as he was laughing.

His laugh made Ti Xiao’s eyes stare straight at him.

I want to see him laugh every day ah.

This laugh also made Ti Xiao temporarily put aside his tension, and reverted to his usual reflex mode and finally opened up his sweet talking attitude.

“What did you eat to grow up so tall?”

“Trust me, my net height is actually 175. With this 178 is all thanks to the shoes I’m wearing.”

“Tsk, you tall people just don’t understand the bitterness of the shorter ones.”

The conversation went on and on, and basically it was Ti Xiao complaining alone. Xiao Yao would just occasionally give him a laugh or two. Although it wasn’t something funny that would make people laugh, being able to say so much to Xiao Yao in one breath also made him very happy.

If this interaction could be done everyday, I guarantee that I will not drag my manuscript anymore in the future.

He was afraid that Gua Pi would wake up smiling hearing so, even if it was just a dream.

When they arrived at the door of their prospective homes, Ti Xiao raised his (dog gut) courage and took out his mobile phone: “Would you like to add a WeChat?”

Does this sound like him having another intention for suspects?

Thinking like this in mind, Ti Xiao quickly flipped his tongue and changed his wording, wanting to cover it up and said: “Uh, I just want to leave a contact. After all, we are neighbors, you know what I mean.”

“Alright.” Xiao Yao who was searching for his key turned to fishing out his mobile phone and scanned the QR code shown by Ti Xiao.

Once they were added as friends, Ti Xiao heard his own heart scream out, oh yeah. Then two hundred and thirty-three fireworks were all firing, crackling and raging within his heart; he really couldn’t describe his excitement at this moment.

He really wanted to go on stage and sing a song to express his gratitude to all the citizens and his parents.

When Ti Xiao was about to go home with this freshly added WeChat friend, Xiao Yao stopped him. There was a little anxiety in the tone.

“That.” said Xiao Yao.

Turning his head, Ti Xiao saw Xiao Yao standing there, a person whose height was close to a metter nine tall. His long arms and slender legs emitted a little hint of being unable to know where to put them. The whole body was written with the word “uneasiness”.

“What’s your name? I still don’t know how to call you yet.” There was a tremor in Xiao Yao’s tone that he didn’t even notice himself. Sure enough, he wasn’t very good at this kind of thing.

“Ti Xiao; the Ti from Ti Mu, and Xiao from Xiao Se. The word Su written under the cursive prefix of Cao.” Ti Xiao said as his finger tapped on the screen.

(题目: Ti Mu; subject, 萧瑟: Xiao Se; desolate)

(肃+草; 萧)

The phone buzzed twice, and a message popped up on Xiao Yao’s phone—

“Ti Xiao.”

After Ti Xiao closed the door, he quickly threw down everything in his hand, hugged Xiao Hulu and began to spin around with his mouth rising uncontrollably.

He asked my name, he asked my name, he asked me my name!

The road to the Han Dynasty had taken a landmark commemorative step!

(The road to flirting with a man.)

On this side, Ti Xiao was hugging and doing a waltz dance style with his cat, while Xiao Yao on the other side looked at the Ti Xiao’s WeChat details page and was lost in thought.

Chapter 5.1

Translator: マイ

Translating this novel each chapter really takes time and energy and effort.
So please kindly understand and do not repost (English) without permission.

Translating it to another language is okay (but at least let me know a bit beforehand).

And I really underestimate my own capacity. Since I’m busy with work, to translate and upload it as a whole is a really impossible task for me. So, I’ve decided to divide it into several parts. Originally it’s 2 parts but I think I might have to cut it to 3 or 4 parts. I’ll try my best to make the translation make sense. Thank you. *⊷*

(Manhua ch 16~onwards)

The heavy snow that had been raging nonstop had finally stopped snowing at dawn the next day.

So early in the morning, Shu Fei, who was still dressing up in front of the bronze mirror, couldn’t help but said to her son, Yong Lin angrily, “What exactly do you mean? Your own twin brother, you still haven’t met, and yet you want to go see that woman’s son? Yong Qi, Yong Qi, is he even more important than your mother?” A delicate glass comb that she was holding on her hand was fiercely slammed into the ground.

As soon as her temper arose, the palace maids that were attending to her, all quickly knelt down.

Yong Lin, who had a good sleep last night, woke up in a refreshed mood. He wanted to rush to visit Yong Qi first thing in the morning, but unexpectedly only with that one sentence, Shu Fei was furious. Him, who could not figure out the reason, looked at his mother with a confused face. “What is wrong, mother? Did you not allow me yesterday, that I could go visit him today?”

“Not allowed.” The palace maid who had picked up the comb and presented it to her knelt down again. Shu Fei took the comb and looked at her son’s tall and standing straight figure from the bronze mirror with her face cold. “What kind of place is the Internal Punishment Court? A place full of dirty and unruly things, baked by foul stinking smell. You are a prince, a nice palace you can’t stay, but still want to run to that kind of place.”

“But Yong Qi gege, he…”

“Yong Qi is a prisoner. Your Father Emperor has already passed a decree for investigation. Why are you still interfering with this matter?” Shu Fei scolded. However, seeing Yong Lin, with his standing upright posture, face looking unwilling, she feared that his temper would act up and he would immediately get into trouble. She had to calm her anger, sighed, and beckoned at him. “You come over here.”

Yong Lin had to go a bit closer.

“Yong Lin, you need to understand something. There is a reason why mother isn’t willing to let you go.” Shu Fei put down the comb. She grabbed her son’s hand and looked up at him, “Generally, you have to at least meet your brother, Yong Shan first before going anywhere else. Even if he isn’t here, he’s still your twin brother. There’s a difference in this regard, how can Yong Qi be compared to him?”

Yong Lin explained: “It’s not that I don’t want to meet Yong Shan gege, it’s just that I couldn’t meet him. When I arrived yesterday, he was busy. When he had time to come later, I was already asleep. Now even if I stay here, I can’t see him anyway. It’s better to go see Yong Qi gege first.”

“You still talk back!” Shu Fei hit him angrily and said, “Alright, let’s not talk about reason, but supposed it’s a country’s law. The Internal Punishment Court does not allow anyone, even for the royal family to enter without an imperial edict. This is the rule left by the previous ancestors. Do you want to enter recklessly without permission and be punished? Silly thing, your brother, Yong Shan has been conferred as a Crown Prince, and many people already want to find him trouble. You not only help him, but also want to add more chaos to him?”

There was no helping it. Yong Lin could not help feeling helpless. Sitting back down, it seemed the fruit and snacks that were sent by the palace maids did not look pleased to his eyes and his heart was full of doubts.

Shu Fei was afraid that he would bring trouble upon himself so she did not dare to go anywhere or leave him alone. She remained in her palace to accompany him, while chatting only one sentence at a time.

After chatting for a while, Yong Lin said he was thirsty.

Shu Fei then quickly instructed someone to bring Yong Lin’s favourite osmanthus tea and ready to bring it to him.

Yong Lin said, “Not the osmanthus tea, I want tofu soup.”

“Then hurry up, quickly get tofu soup ready.”

After the soup was served, Yong Lin drank almost half of the pot. Seeing him enjoying the soup like that, Shu Fei who was sitting beside him smiled. “I don’t know how big this stomach of yours can hold so many things. The way you eat is also the same. You should better learn from Yong Shan; being a Crown Prince, his every speech and actions must be caution and humble.”

Yong Lin secretly smirked. After a while, he cried out while holding his stomach. “Aiya! Stomach hurts!”

How could Shu Fei not know he was faking his stomach ache? Then she called for several eunuchs to come up and surround the place while ordering, “After treating him, don’t let His Royal Highness Yong Lin slip away.”

Remembering her son being mischief and a naughty child, Shu Fei didn’t know whether to laugh or be angry. Yong Lin had been to the fief for half a year, but still didn’t change at all. While she was smiling alone in the room, suddenly someone came in and reported.

The one who came to report was the eunuch who usually helped Shu Fei to inquire about things before, naming Zong Yong.

Shu Fei instructed him to come over and questioned. “What about the news from before?”

Zong Yong moved up a little closer, and then whispered softly. “Reporting to Niangniang, the matter of Jin Fei Niangniang’s older brother, Fang Zuo Ming has been dissolved.”

(Note: Niang Niang, respectful title for queen, concubine or princess.)

“How had it been dissolved?”

“Twenty-two thousand silver and three hundred acres of private land on the edge of the capital were confiscated.”

“And the man?”

“Already released.”

“Released? Wasn’t it an instant death?” Shu Fei exclaimed in surprise. She raised her eyebrows and asked, “Who handled this matter?”

“Replying to Niangniang, it was.”

After listening to his report, Shu Fei was even more surprised, however, she did not express it on her face. She then said faintly. “It doesn’t make sense, you have to find out more clearly.”

After dismissing Zong Yong, another maid was called over. Shu Fei gave an order for her to make a round trip to the Prince’s manor. Again she reminded the maid in a low voice, “No need to go in, just inquire about who the Prince had seen yesterday and if he had said something.”

When the person was just sent away, a sudden noise was heard on the outside corridor. Sensing that something was wrong, Shu Fei walked to the door and asked. “What happened? What are you shouting and screaming for? How unruly!”

“Niangniang!” Several eunuchs who were sent to watch over Yong Lin, yelled and screamed as they ran over. They fell on their knees with swollen noses and sullen faces. Each one cried and kowtowed, saying, “His Royal Highness Yong Lin suddenly caused an uproar without reason!”

“And where is he?”

“His Royal Highness is a martial arts fighter, servants cannot be on par to stop him…”

Shu Fei took a step forward. She trampled hard on the eunuch’s head that was still kowtowing on the ground, raising her eyebrows, saying. “I ask you, where is he?”

“Ran away… servant could not stop him, and the guards did not dare to stop him, afraid of hurting His Royal Highness…”

Before he could finish speaking, Shu Fei’s eyes burst into flame, and said angrily. “He’s still this much capable? Daring to make a scene in his mother’s palace. Guards, take my order; immediately go to the Internal Punishment Court and bring Yong Lin back. If he dares to resist, use force and arrest him, even if you have to hurt him!”

The guards replied with a yes then hurriedly rushed to the Internal Punishment Court.

Yong Qi stood in the corner of the cell. There was no trace of blood on his handsome beautiful face. His pale finger that was bound to the knuckles struggled as hard as possible, repeatedly trying to get an escape hole in the wall.

Yong Shan’s sharp and cold eyes forced him to a dead end.

“When did you write it?” Yong Shan scattered the things on the table right to Yong Qi’s chin; under the calm tone, there was a terrible chill.

The things that he had obtained from Yong Sheng were spread out on the table.

The bottom was lined with a black gold velvet tablecloth with a gold thread that was specially ordered by Yong Shan, and on the surface of the snow white silk was filled with words written with black ink, and the words were beautiful and dazzling.

“Where can you get silk and ink?”

“Who passed it to you?”

“Is it a court official? Or someone else?”

“How many letters have you written? To whom are you writing to?”

The person who wished to squeeze himself into the corner of the wall kept silent, and this silence finally angered Yong Shan even more.

“Say it!” He grabbed his elder brother’s thin upper arm and pulled him out. His unsteady body bumped against his chest and then again he was pressed hard against the wall. Yong Shan’s breath spit on his pale face, “Being held inside the Internal Punishment Court yet still secretly wrote private letters, even if you’re not guilty, you’ve already become guilty! Are you tired of living?”

Yong Qi shifted his face to the side.

Yong Shan pulled his face back mercilessly, forcing him to look at his own eyes. “When was it delivered?”

Yong Qi’s face that was hanging down in front of his eyes at this moment became a hateful ridicule to Yong Shan.

For a moment, he seemed to vaguely see the little resilience that Yong Qi had kept hiding. Yong Shan kneaded and twisted his face as he rudely pushed him down.

“Say it.” Yong Shan condescendingly looked at him and was silent for a while. Suddenly, his temperament calmed down, as if he thought of another more successful method after anger. He heaved a sigh, and even gave him a bit of advice, “No saying, then I have no choice but to use punishment.”

Yong Qi’s body collapsed and flinched, but Yong Shan could see clearly that he was tightly biting his lower lip with his white teeth.

“Not telling, I still can find out sooner or later. There are just a few people who can help you deliver things here.” Yong Shan whispered.

He turned around and walked to stop at the table at the back.

Hearing the wooden drawing pulling behind him, along with a few crips sounding, as if a metal was tapping against one another, Yong Qi turned his head.

Yong Shan had already lit a large candle with a thick arm. On a long golden mental was a candle that was burning repeatedly. Seemingly aware of Yong Qi’s glancing over, he turned his eyes slightly towards Yong Qi and raised a strange smile in the corner of his lips.

Yong Qi quickly turned his face back and no longer looked at Yong Shan’s direction.

He.” A slight sneer from Yong Shan was heard from behind him.

Golden metal, gradually getting hot in the swaying fire. Yong Shan who was holding the other end, and even if there were several layers of gauze on the surface, he could still detect the heat that was gradually coming from the fire.

A torure by burning skin had always been a favorite punishment for torture veterans to use.

He turned his head and stopped his gaze on the Yong Qi.

His thin body curled up on the bed, with a glance, it could be seen how tension he was in that tight back.

“Humph.” Yong Shan deliberately made a nasal sound. As expected, the person who had never turned his head to look at him from the start to end immediately shook his body, like a mouse that carefully listened to the movement with only his ears.

He looked at the side where the golden metal was roasting on the fire to the point it began to shine. Yong Qi’s skin was delicate and fragile, if his skin was burned by this, it was unknown how long it would take to recover.

The scar would probably be left for a lifetime.

Silly brother…

Knowing Yong Qi wouldn’t look back and found out about his current expression, Yong Shan’s icy cold eyes slowly filled with warmth; even warmer than golden metal in his hand, and a smile was brought upon his face.

Look at how frightened his brother was, how awful of him to scare his elder brother. However, in such a forbidding and strict place like here, Yong Qi dared to secretly write and pass the letters at his will even though he was being held tightly in his palm; he could not be spared without punishment.

“Yong Qi, are you spitting it out or not?” Yong Shan took the torture tool that had been burn to redden color and walked to the bed.

He turned Yong Qi who was trying to resist only to be failed again over, and forced him to look at the things in his hand. Sure enough, there was a look of fear and anger appearing on Yong Qi’s face.

However, he didn’t know how attractive and tempting his expression was right now.

“Are you telling or not?”

Yong Shan brought the golden mental tool that was burning red a little closer. As soon as it was brought over, he could feel its heat almost instantly. Yong Shan stared at his prisoner with shining eyes.

Yong Qi did not move. He closed his eyes and bit his lower lip. This kind of helpless situation of sacrificing one’s life for justice. Even Yong Shan felt it was ridiculous; he did not know whether to laugh or cry. However, the golden metal tool in his hand could not be pressed down. This person, how could his stubbornness and unyielding behaviour be this strong today? Even dare to confront him.

Using his voice that was as cold as ice, Yong Shan ridiculed: “Don’t think I come up with only this method. There are many punishments in the Internal Punishment Court. Have you heard of human punishment?”

Regardless of whether there was any response from Yong Qi, he smiled grimly, “I heard that none of the imperial harems who have been imprisoned here have never tasted this human punishment. This is different from how they serve Father Emperor. Men here take turns and do it; doing like they were breeding. However, I am afraid that the people in the Internal Punishment Court have never tasted the genuine Prince.”

As he spoke, the body in his hand kept trembling.

Yong Qi could not help but open his eyes and looked up. His delicate facial features were exposed to Yong Shan’s eyes.

“Say it.” Yong Shan still waited for him to yield.

Yong Qi had never suffered any grievances. He was like a delicate orchid flower that was raised by Li Fei in the warm room, preventing him from exposing to the wind and cold. Right now his eyes showed a strong struggle, panic in fear, and together with a little pride that he could never give up.

Yong Shan tried his best to show his emotionless eyes, staring at him coldly, as if as long as he was really dissatisfied, Yong Qi would be tortured to death. He waited and noticed Yong Qi who was under his control slightly struggling; a kind of futile struggle often adopted by Yong Qi.

The corner of Yong Shan’s mouth showed a scornful smile.

However, in the next moment, Yong Qi became more violent. This delicate and fragile brother had never seemed to have such great strength, almost made a break free from Yong Shan’s hunting hands. Yong Shan was a little surprised and quickly tightened his strength, but at this time Yong Qi directly aimed at his beautiful face, knocking that burning red metal in the passing.

Yong Shan quickly windrew his hands, however, it was too late. A bitter cry was heard in his ears, a cry that was like a thunderbolt roaring in the clear blue sky, making human’s guts turn completely cold. Then a scent of skin burnt passes through his nose.

“Yong Qi!” Yong Shan shouted at the top of his lungs.

In an empty space of the cell, a noise of golden metal falling to the ground was heard. Yong Shan held Yong Qi as he grabbed his face to face his own. “Let me see! Look up!”

Yong Qi was trembling with pain, and he did not have the timidity and gentleness from his previous ordinary days. Perhaps this was the first most painful experience in his life that provoked his madness as he desperately waved his hands to avoid Yong Shan’s contact. Yong Shan couldn’t get close to him at this moment, he was sweating anxiously. Because he was too anxious, at some point he suddenly pushed Yong Qi, let him fall down, and quickly restrain him to look up.

Yong Qi gave out a piercing cry.

“Shh, don’t make a noise, be good.” Yong Shan coaxed him with his trembling voice, hardening his heart as he turned Yong Qi’s face over.

There was no injury on his face. When he was hit by Yong Qi, Yong Shan’s hand flinched in the wrong direction and the burning metal shook and burned the flesh on the side of Yong Qi’s neck. Yong Shan did not have to look at it to know how terrible it became. But once he saw it, all of a sudden, the color on his face changed. His hand kept stroking Yong Qi like a craze, asking repeatedly. “Does it hurt, I… I didn’t mean it…”

“Get away from me! Let me go!” Seeing him reaching his hand toward himself, Yong Qi screamed even more. As if he felt something hot and a burning pain in his neck, after desperately pushing Yong Shan away, he couldn’t help but stretch his hand to scratch his neck.

“Don’t scratch it! Stop, Yong Qi.” At this time, it was more difficult to press him down. Yong Shan’s forehead was soaked with cold sweat, turning his head to look around, he was trying to find a rope to tie him up.

At this moment, a very familiar voice suddenly sounded, full of consternation and anger, “Ge! What are you doing!”

Life After Marrying My Love Rival Ch 40

Chapter 40

Translator: マイ

Ye NanQi was so shocked that his soul seemed to have flown off to the sky.

The kiss came too sudden that he became completely stupid. What he had been deliberately avoiding was handed to him by Shen Du and there was no room for concession either.

Nevertheless, he really couldn’t fight back this strong force.

In his heart, he hesitated yet still hoped; he had been hoping for something. However, his past experience (regarding his family) together with his own personality made him anxious. Inside a shell created by his own, he trapped himself so deep that he didn’t dare to stick out his head to get outside; unless someone smashed it open and pulled him out, willing to help him see the light.

Ye NanQi was in a daze for a while.

Can this person be Shen Du?

Only after finally regaining his consciousness that Ye NanQi protested a bit. Shen Du then kindly released his tightly held hand. Ye NanQi opened his mouth, but before he could even say anything, Shen Du took the opportunity to kiss him again.

Before his words could be said, he was kissed even deeper. A strong and powerful kiss made Ye NanQi breathe unevenly. His heart pounding so loudly that the sound could be heard in his ear.

Ye NanQi couldn’t break Shen Du off, and what he wanted to convey to Shen Du had failed yet again. For now, he could only wait for Shen Du to kiss him enough and let him go on his own. But who knew that the person above him showed no end to his kissing. He either kissed or bit, as if he wanted to eat him whole before he was willing to give up. The actions of his hands began to wander astray as well.

Ye NanQi was annoyed, since his brute force couldn’t be compared with Shen Du, he used his wisdom to outsmart him. He slightly parted his mouth and responded to the kiss tentatively, making Shen Du get a little excited, which caused his hands and feet that were restraining him relaxed a lot. Ye NanQi took the opportunity to knock him over, sat up, and skillfully kicked the man off the bed.

Shen Du was already used to it, and he wasn’t mind being kicked off the bed. He stood up from the ground, while licking the corner of his own lips, he stared at Ye NanQi’s lips that were kissed to a red color like a hungry wolf.

Looking at this action made someone blush and his heartbeat was rating up. Ye NanQi’s face was still blushing red, his mouth opened and closed, but he didn’t even know what to say.

After a long while, he raised his eyebrows and grit his teeth, saying: “You…”

His numbed lips and tongue made it difficult for him to speak, and the feeling of being kissed still remained. Ye NanQi’s words were incomplete, and his back rear was still numb.

Shen Du leaned over and looked at Ye NanQi, his eyes were burning and all the focus was on him: “Well? What am I? Asshole? Hooligan? Want me to take responsibility? Rest assured, I will be responsible for all my whole life.”

What exactly is happening?

Ye NanQi closed his eyes and found a reason for Shen Du: “… Has your brian gone broken being kicked by me?”

“When it’s all come to this point, and you still want to avoid it.” Shen Du’s face darkened for a moment, and said, “Don’t you already know my answer?”

Ye NanQi’s mind was in a mess. Shen Du’s attitude was indeed obvious…

But what happened to him and Jiang YanYu?

Isn’t the person he likes Jiang YanYu?

While Ye NanQi was still at a loss, Shen Du suddenly pinched his chin, turning him to face himself, Ye NanQi wasn’t allowed to look away. His movements were strong, but his voice was soft: “Actually, I have been preparing for this moment for a long time. I wanted to say this sentence in a more romantic way. Thinking maybe if your heart softens, and I’ll succeed.”

His eyes were too focused and gentle, making Ye NanQi feel dazzling; he really couldn’t look away, or even close his eyes. He knew what Shen Du was trying to say. While he was still feeling a bit ridiculous and disbelief in his heart, Shen Du had already kissed him on his forehead, saying softly but firmly, “I like you.”

“It’s okay to pretend that you can’t hear me completely. It doesn’t matter if you want to hide from me either, I can say it as many times.”

“I like you, Ye NanQi.”

“Like you very much.”

On the day when his contract expired, Ye NanQi went to the company to discuss the termination of the contract. The company euphemistically persuaded him to stay, however, since he couldn’t stay, without much saying, he left.

Wen Chen’s resignation letter was also handed over. The two left the company together and when they stepped out of the door, Wen Chen looked back at the building and sighed: “It’s been five years.”

The originally still in daze Ye NanQi heard him speak and smiled: “Yeah, it’s been five years.”

Wen Chen said with nostalgia: “When I first met you, you weren’t as tall as me…”

Ye NanQi said honestly, “That’s because you were fat.”

Wen Chen said angrily: “You talk more and more like your husband.”

Suddenly bringing the topic of Shen Du, Ye NanQi went silent. When he got in the car and saw Zhang Mo, who was replacing the driver, he turned his head blankly: “Wen ge?”

Wen Chen smiled: “Zhang Mo said that you have a good temper and want to follow you. I thought about it, such an honest and reliable assistant is rare. How about it? Aren’t you happy? Although we are changing to a new environment, there are still familiar people by our sides.”

Zhang Mo turned his head and showed a straightforward smile.

To be prank, who could have thought that he had just broken the door of Qian Qian’s small apartment by himself not long ago.

Ye NanQi swallowed back the words that were about to escape from his mouth. He clearly knew who Zhang Mo was, but this also reminded him of Shen Du. When he thought about it, it was like… his breath still remained between his lips and teeth, and every word he said that day was branded deeply in Ye NanQi’s heart.

After a few days, Ye NanQi had been avoiding the matter, trying not to remember it, but still subconsciously remembered it. When he did, his heart was full of burning heat,  panic and in chaos.

He didn’t accept Shen Du’s confession, nor did Shen Du agree to a divorce.

After leaving the Shen family, Ye NanQi returned to the house he had previously bought. The part-time worker had already cleaned it up and he could live in directly after moving in. Yesterday, a letter of the divorce agreement was delivered. On the paper was Shen Du’s sign which was like a phoenix dance with beautiful three characters.

In your dream.”

Ye NanQi expressionlessly tore up the divorce agreement. He turned around and set all Shen Du’s contact details in his blacklist. He wanted to calm down, stay away from Shen Du a bit, and carefully think about how Shen Du was so blind to fall in love with him.

According to his fate, Ye NanQi once felt that his final ending wouldn’t be very good, and it would be very stupid to drag Shen Du together, but it was also within his plan. He hadn’t thought much love or affection. When he was pursuing Jiang YanYu, he also didn’t do it sincerely. Perhaps Jiang YanYu also noticed it, so when he rejected him, he was very firm and said, “Senior, you don’t like me.”

Shen Du’s confession was like a car on a rampage running over him and disrupted his original planned route.

This was already the second time.

Shen Du was like an unexpected mishap in his dim and dull life.

Today was Sunday. After Ye NanQi discussed the future plan with Wen Chen, they decided to go to the new company tomorrow. Zhang Mo first sent Wen Chen back home, and then immediately and naturally drove toward Shen Du’s home.

Ye NanQi got a little headache, and quickly said, “Not this way.”

Zhang Mo still didn’t know that Shen Du’s confession had failed, and that the two were now staying separately; he then turned around blankly. Coincidentally, Li Hengran called and brought him good news.

While Ye Mei was still alive, because she was severely depressed, she secretly went to see a psychologist alone and consumed a lot of depressing medicines.

In this matter, she only mentioned a sentence in her diary. The original words were “Dr. Chen said that I would go crazy like this.”

There were countless doctors with the surname Chen. Even Li Hengran had a headache, being stuck in the period of time. He checked the psychiatrist with the surname Chen in the large and small hospitals in D city, but still couldn’t find any.

What’s more, there were also many private psychological counseling centers. Given Ye Mei’s situation at that time, the possibility of her going to a private psychologist was significantly higher.

Originally, they thought it was useless, even knowing the clues wasn’t much help. Who knew to one’s surprise, he was really found?

Ye NanQi quickly ended the call, feeling a little excited, and asked Zhang Mo to turn around to the tea house where Li Hengran had agreed to meet.

Arriving at the place, thinking that Zhang Mo would probably stay here and wait for him, Ye NanQi felt uncomfortable. He turned back and said, “You go back first, no need to follow me all the time. I’m meeting with Li Hengran, and there will be no danger.”

Hearing him said, Zhang Mo shook his head: “I’m sorry but Master Shen asked me to protect you, especially when you go to see others.”

Ye NanQi choked; he felt wronged and murmured: “Then you will follow me when I go on a date as well?”

Zhang Mo thought for a moment: “This… I will inform Master Shen.”

Seeing that he wasn’t willing to leave, Ye NanQi had to say, “Then don’t wait for me here, just go up and have a cup of tea.”

Li Hengran was still busy in the police station and would come a bit later. Ye NanQi ordered a pot of oolong tea while waiting. After brewing the tea and tasted the refreshment, the first thought in his heart turned out to be: not as delicious as what Shen Du made.

The corners of his mouth twitched, and he felt that he might have been poisoned. Him being picky was really bad enough, and if he thought it didn’t taste good, he wouldn’t eat it. This made him angry at himself, forcing himself to eat several pieces, and finally suppressed that thought.

Zhang Mo was sitting opposite Ye NanQi. Even if he was sitting, his sitting posture was extremely dignified with his back straightened up. Ye NanQi, while stuffing himself with refreshments, choked a little. With a little sound of hiccup, his eyes fell on Zhang Mo. Unable to hold back his curiosity, he asked, “Zhang Mo, have you ever been a soldier before?”

Zhang Mo smiled at him: “I was in the special forces before.”

Ye NanQi was stupid for a while. He didn’t expect Shen Du to arrange someone to protect him, not to mention it was someone as a soldier from a special force.

Seeing him being motionless, Zhang Mo explained: “Master Shen only asked me to protect you. There are no other weird requests, you can rest assured.”

Weird request? What can it be?

Ye NanQi remembered the things Shen Du did after his confession to him. Probably like the thing about liking him. Doing something weird to the one they like… weird requests, it didn’t seem difficult to guess what it was.

The tip of his ear suddenly turned red, and he scolded Shen Du a few words in his heart before quickly drinking his tea to cover it up.

Li Hengran didn’t let Ye NanQi wait too long. When he came in, Zhang Mo exited the room and stood outside the door.

“The psychiatrist is called Chen Wen.” Without wasting much time, Li Hengran took out a piece of information and pushed it to Ye NanQi together with a business card. “To be able to find him all thanks to President Shen. However, what are you husband and wife up to? The information that Shen Du had found, he told me to forward it to you.”

Ye NanQi smiled awkwardly: “It’s nothing.”

Li Hengran said with a little difficulty: “I know your situation, however Shen Du seems to be really good to you, and it’s better for you to be accompanied by someone.”

Without saying anything, Ye NanQi only looked down at this psychologist’s information.

Coincidentally, due to job transfers, Dr. Chen had moved to A City, and in recent years he had opened a private psychological counseling office by himself. It was only recently that because an elder in his hometown had passed away that he had to leave A City temporarily.

Chen Wen’s hometown was in a small mountain village in the south of the motherland. It was located in the deep vast mountains; his detailed address wasn’t easy to find. Even if Ye NanQi was impatient to find him, it was no use.

He could only wait until he returned.

Ye NanQi received his business card, discussed with Li Hengran for a while, then talked about Qian Qian’s problem.

“Sorry, I’ve been busy with the serial murder case in Sixi District recently. The case was dragging on for several days and nights, and the suspects were only caught last night.” Li Hengran pinched his forehead looking tired, “I didn’t say it clearly last time about Qian Qian’s matter. You should have seen all the people in my team when you went to the police station. There were three guards on duty that day, all of whom had blocked me from bullets when we were chasing drug dealers… I don’t want to doubt any of them, but the fact isn’t allowed.”

He said, then took out his phone, showing a group photo then pointed out the three people in turn: “Because I trusted them, I had revealed some news about this case that we are investigating… If one of them approaches you alone in the future, telling you something, don’t believe it. Call me or President Shen, don’t act alone. We don’t know where those people have planted their spies. The only way to protect yourself is to not trust anyone easily.”

After a pause, he said, “Even me, don’t trust me too much. I don’t know if I have misjudged their power, but there should be their people mixing in the bureau.”

Ye NanQi remembered the faces of the three people, nodded, and said in a low voice, “You’ve worked hard.”

Li Hengran shook his head: “I’ve always felt guilty… I couldn’t stretch out my hands and help your sister back then.”

This matter was like a thorn rooted deep in his heart. After many years, the root hadn’t been pulled out. Instead it was buried even deeper in his heart. To get rid of the root of the problem, he had to cut out the thorn before pulling it out completely.

After ending the conversation, Ye NanQi got into the car and was thinking about other issues. He came back to his senses only when the car was stopped in front of a red light. He looked at the route, and said quietly, “Zhang Mo, my house isn’t this way.”

Zhang Mo, who had wanted to take the man back secretly, was found out. With a straightforward smile, he obediently changed direction and drove to Ye NanQi’s house.

Without Shen Du’s attentive and proper care, Ye NanQi didn’t want to make poisonous dishes and abused himself. In the past few days, he had bought a pile of quick-frozen dumplings and instant noodles. In the evening, he would cook himself instant noodles to fill his belly. His picky tongue which couldn’t taste the delicious food like before, feeling that the instant noodle in front of him was very tasteless.

Ye NanQi finally understood what it meant to be “It’s easy to go from frugality to extravagant, but difficult to go from extravagance to frugality.”

He was depressed all night, even dreaming of returning to Shen Du’s house. He saw Shen Du in his dream cooking a table of his favorite dishes. When he was about to grab his chopsticks, Shen Du stopped him. Holding his jaw, he grinned and said, “If you want to eat my food, you must have to desire for my talents in line first.”

Ye NanQi woke up directly in the middle of the night. The early summer night had begun to be hot and stuffy, but he still had cold hands and feet. Tossing and turning around, he never fell asleep again.

When he went to the new company the next day, Wen Chen wore a formal dress and even sprayed a bit of perfume. He wanted to be grand and magnificent, thinking of giving Ye NanQi a face.

Compared with Wen Chen, who was full of energy, Ye NanQi was a bit lifeless.

He was absent-minded and had no clue how to start in the new company. When he arrived at the company, he just followed Wen Chen with his head held down. The result of his lack of sleep led him to be in trance.

The two of them went to meet Bo Sheng’s big boss first.

Ye NanQi had checked before, Bo Sheng’s big boss was always someone with a barrel-bellied like shipping cart. Although there were frivolous things which were hard to explain about the company, the reviews were very outstanding, and there shouldn’t be any hidden rules.

The secretary, who had waited for the two for a while, took them into the office. Ye NanQi raised his head casually, and followed by a gentle smile as a habit, greetings, “President Zhou…”

The words hadn’t finished, the remaining half got stuck in his throat.

Shen Du sat on the boss chair, with an obvious smug smile on his face, and corrected: “It’s ‘President Shen’.”

The expressionless Ye NanQi found that Wen Chen had quietly withdrawn and closed the door intimately, leaving only two of them in the big office.

Very good, no need to force the question on him, Wen Chen, as an accomplice had already revealed himself.

Shen Du observed his expression. A grin appeared at the corners of his mouth as he added a sentence: “But calling ‘President Shen’ is too unfamiliar. If you are willing to call me husband, I’d be happier.”

(An overbearing President, indeed.)

Chapter 9: WiFi signal

Thank you Katie_WanderingFujoshi for your suggestion. The title has been changed. Now the title is officially 「Can I Connect To Your Wifi?」

Xiao Yao certainly had bad habits to release his frustration.

Whenever he was feeling upset, he would either vent on the rice paper that was used for word practice to write the word “annoying”, then crumble it and throw it away, or he just chose someone from his circle of friends and liked everything they posted.

In most cases, in order to reduce his enrage pressure, Xiao Yao would just choose to vent on practice writing the word. The probability of the second case scenario tended to zero to ever happen.

However, there were always exceptions.

In the past, it was always his good buddies who suffered from his poisoning (liking every post they made), but in the recent years, since Xiao Yao had already poisoned them all, there was no new one to poison his likes again.

When he turned on his computer, it just happened that the screen showed the new serialization comic of the comic artist Big A’Ti. The two main characters in the comic were drawn beautifully while they were eating. Then he rushed to the author’s Weibo without delay and made a flood of his likes.

After tossing and turning in bed for a while, Xiao Yao felt that it was not good to scare the author. After all, his behavior was harsh and a little reckless.

Which caused Xiao Yao to get up from the bed in the middle of the night, gave the author Big A’Ti a tip; he attached it together with an apology.

“Sorry for the impulsiveness last night, which may be a disturbance to your life. I actually like your work very much, please continue to work hard.”

Those refined words, which were full of extraordinary temperament, were standing out among a bunch of heat comments of “driving toward the edge of the city”, “++fuck him dry”, “eating chicken really sweet”. Just one glance, Ti Xiao Xiao saw this wonderful comment.

Once Ti Xiao opened his own user account, what he saw made him exclaim in surprise; one zero, two zero, three zero, this money really blinds my eyes.

And the tip was given by “pass by”.

What the, this really prick my attention ah.

“Thank golden master for your tip.” After answering this user, Ti Xiao continued to argue with his editor.

A new author was handed over to Gua Pi for management. He used to draw manga since before and his skill was so-so. However, his serial comics were still made through the backdoor.

Because he was a new author, his popularity wasn’t high, and his serialization was a bit bleak. Gua Pi was wondering if he could ask Ti Xiao to help repost his Weibo and attract some popularity from his fans. After all, Ti Xiao was an oldtimer author with publishing experience and he also had a lot of Weibo fans.

Editor · Gua Pi Pi: This is his QQ id, Duck Neck in Despair, please talk to him, thank you. (绝望的鸭脖子JueWang de YaBozi: should I use it original in Chinese or translate… and I’m not confident with this translated name.)

Ti Xiao’s QQ profile picture was the same as the one as his Weibo; a picture of a bun soaring towards the sky that he had been using for a long time.

Going through the other party’s profile, he didn’t expect that his profile picture would be something as cute as a pink kitten. The way he used his words, as well the usage of emotion expressions jumping out one after another was also cute, looking like a little cute girl.

Duck Neck in Despair: Whoa, whoa, A’Ti taitai wowwow【(ृʾ́꒳ʿ̀ ृ )ु】(Taitai: madame, Mrs.)

I’ve read your comics since I was a kid, I’m your little fan 【(ღ˘⌣˘ღ)】

These two sentences strangled Ti Xiao’s phrase “Hello” on the keyboard.

“Taitai” was generally described to a female author in the circle, and Ti Xiao was a male. Furthermore he started drawing his serializing comics when he was in his 3rd year in university, where did this, I’ve read your comics since I was a kid come from?

Ti Xiao secretly complained in his heart, but still sent out that hello that was hanging halfway and greeted him.

After a few simple greetings, Ti Xiao looked at the time and it was almost noon. Since Ti Nanyi didn’t come over today, he wanted to go to a convenience store to settle down his afternoon meal.

Duck Neck in Despair: A’Ti taitai, do you want to have lunch now? What do you eat for lunch? I want to eat too【( *´﹃` *)】

Originally, Ti Xiao planned to chat with him only until lunch time. Who knew Duck Neck in Despair was so entangled and asked him this and that; starting from west to north, even until Ti Xiao finished buying his things and lined up to check out, Duck Neck in Despair was still talking to him. Ti Xiao, who had a good temper, even got a bit annoyed. Picking his own things, he occasionally replied to him with only two words.

Duck Neck in Despair: Ma’am I have a question I want to ask you, but you have to make sure you won’t hit me. Are you really a male author?【(^º◡º^❁)】

Ti Xiao rolled his eyes angrily, you still have a sense of self awareness and know that I’m going to hit you ah.

The reason he asked that question because in this circle, a majority of female authors were basically rotten women, and male authors basically belonged to scarce species like giant pandas.

Ti Xiao ignored her, but Duck Neck in Despair still continued talking rubbish.
(Note: From above, Gua Pi used ta for He, but TX used ta for She here.)

Duck Neck in Despair: Then let me ask another question, don’t you hit me too
【(=´∇`=)】

Ask again, and I’ll let your neck experience what despair tastes like.

Unfortunately, Duck Neck had no idea that in Ti Xiao’s heart, he had twisted her neck into a sweet and salty twisted roll, and then asked―

Duck Neck in Despair: That… Are you a transgender man who loves men?

Ti Xiao’s eyebrows twisted a few times, and wondered how such a person who loved to pry other’s privacy so much could live to such an age?

Even Ti Nanyi was more pleasing than her.

Ti Xiao was about to rain his cursing that would make the other party embarrassed, suddenly a strange freshly cool breath was enclosed to him, making Ti Xiao turn his head back quickly.

Then he saw Xiao Yao’s magnified handsome face, which was no more than five centimeters away from his cheek. He could even see the fine fluff and crow-like eyelashes on his face; it was within the distance that he could touch a kiss up with just a light move forward.

There was a warm breath sweeping on his face, making him feel itchy.

Precisely speaking, Xiao Yao had a net height of 188. Someday, he was interested in wearing thick-bottomed Martin boots or something so that he could go straight up to 190.

Coincidentally, he just wore it like this today. His long legs were wrapped under black jeans, a white turtleneck sweater covering his slender neck, a black trench coat was worn outside, and together with a pair of black-rimmed glasses; he could capture all the referee’s foul red cards.

In this way, he needed to bend slightly when standing next to the 173-Ti Xiao. From behind, it looked like his head was resting on his shoulder; the scene looked ambiguous and intimate, just like that of lovers.

But who knows who was more embarrassed.

Ti Xiao froze for a moment, and suddenly remembered that he seemed to wash his hair yesterday.

Xiao Yao’s consciousness froze for a second when Ti Xiao twisted his face his way.

He swore that he didn’t deliberately want to look at other people’s mobile phone screens, but when he came to the convenience store to buy things, he saw Ti Xiao was standing in line for check out. He wanted to come forward to say hello and discuss things about inviting him to eat by the way.

Then the altitude and the glasses he was wearing today caused him trouble.

The little bun soaring towards the sky fell into his eyes.

Xiao Yao felt a little familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere, and subconsciously stepped closer to see if it was the one in his impression.

By the time he went forward as he narrowed his eyes to look at the other, the Little Bunny turned his face over. Fortunately, he braked in time to stop his movement, otherwise the two would probably have kissed each other.

However, the skin on Little Bunny’s face looked white and soft.

He wanted to pinch him.

His fingers twisted secretly a few times.

“What a coincidence.” Xiao Yao took the lead to step back. Straightening up his board waist, he said hello both embarrassment and politeness.

Ti Xiao’s eyes widened greatly. When he nodded a little, his fluffy hair shook a little, showing the ebony wood-like black hair lined with his milky white skin, and the contrast was strong under the light.

Xiao Yao wanted to pinch him even more.

His phone vibrated, seemingly Duck Neck in Despair sent him something again, but Ti Xiao didn’t care about it.

Because he saw Xiao Yao hold out his hand straight in the direction of his cheek, extend his index finger and thumb, flexing his joints, and bent his last three fingers together, looking like he was going to wipe something on Ti Xiao’s face.

Then he brushed past his cheek and patted him on the shoulder.

Life After Marrying My Love Rival Ch 39

Chapter 39

Translator: マイ

Another late update…. ( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥` )

“…”

Shen Du’s words were repeatedly echoed in Ye NanQi’s brain and for a moment, he was lost in what to do. He even suspected that what he heard might not be Chinese, and had to analyze the word mechanically each by each.

The amount of information brought by this sentence was really too much to handle. Ye NanQi’s eyes doubtfully stared at Shen Du for a while before implicitly asking, “Shen Du, have you heard of a disease?”

Shen Du’s institution told him that the words that he was about to say wouldn’t be anything good, and he was mentally prepared before asking, “What disease?”

“… Holy Father’s disease.” Ye NanQi said and laughed.

If he wasn’t a Holy Father, how could he be so good to him for no reason, and could say such words of sacrifice.

Sure enough, the words spoken by Ye NanQi really weren’t anything good.

Shen Du felt a little depressed. He reached out and rubbed Ye NanQi’s hair. His eyes didn’t dodge nor hide as he looked straight at Ye NanQi. Then the corner of his lips gently and slightly hooked up: “Just kidding.”

Ye NanQi had never seen anyone who would  joke with such a serious expression. He had no reason to be flustered, however; he was still lost in between whether he should retreat or questioning. “I’m going to sleep,” said Ye NanQi, with eyes that were drifting away elsewhere.

In the end, he chose to retreat.

“Wait.” Shen Du didn’t want to wait for him to drive himself out and said, “One more thing―the Xue’s family will have a party soon. Would you like to go with me?”

Ye NanQi froze and immediately refused: “I already have an appointment.”

Shen Du frowned: “With who?”

Ye NanQi said without hesitation, “Zhao Sheng.”

Shen Du: “…”

Damn you, Zhao Sheng.

Seeing Shen Du left, Ye NanQi immediately called Zhao Sheng.

Without knowing that he was about to be hit by a large cauldron that fell from the sky, yet still feeling touched in his heart, Zhao Sheng immediately agreed, and hung up the phone. He wanted to tell Shen Du that he could pretend that he couldn’t come at that time due to some unexpected matter, and let Shen Du come to his rescue instead. By doing that, wasn’t it a perfectly beautiful plan?

Immediately after he hung up on Ye NanQi, Shen Du called. Zhao Sheng answered the phone, and proudly said, “Brother, I’m helping you big time this time.”

Shen Du patiently resisted the urge to knock him to the ground, listening to him boosting himself at the end of the phone, and then spoke out his plans.

Shen Du’s anger suddenly disappeared. He knocked on his own head. Right now, he was like a naive child, too childish that his calm and self-sufficient that he had learned in more than ten years was gone. He would get angry easily with everything that concerned Ye NanQi.

What did Ye NanQi think of him?

To try to reverse his image, maybe he could cook this frog in a faster way?

While Shen Du was seriously thinking about how to attack Ye NanQi, Ye NanQi had already prepared the divorce agreement, and signed stroke by stroke with his name.

The property given to him by Mother Shen after getting married, would be returned, and the sum of money that was given by the two elders was still in his drawer. Since he came over empty handed, he wasn’t going to take anything once he left either. While he was free, he could as well clean up the room.

He didn’t have much stuff, so all his things could be packed in just one suitcase.

Ye NanQi’s original plan was to show Shen Du the divorce agreement after Mother Shen’s birthday. If he had no objections, he could sign the divorce right away. For the elders, he could hide it from them for a few more days before telling them. Then he would take all the blame and defend Shen Du being misunderstood.

The plan was perfect, and Shen Du would agree without fail.

Ye NanQi thought of a beautiful plan.

The two had their own thoughts and did in their ways. It wasn’t until Mother Shen’s birthday that they returned to the Shen family’s house with gifts.

Mother Shen pouted with dissatisfaction, saying, “I’m getting another one year older,” but her face showed that she was very fond of Shen Du and Ye NanQi’s gifts that she couldn’t hold back her smile. After she pulled Ye NanQi to talk for a while, she happily went to find Father Shen.

Shen Du’s eyes were warm as he whispered, “My mother really likes you.”

Ye NanQi thought of the divorce agreement that he had prepared, and felt a little depressed.

Since the husband-husband hadn’t returned for a long time, and also to celebrate Mother Shen’s birthday today, Shen Du and Father Shen got up in a battlefield and were responsible for all the cooking.

After the meal was served, the father and son pair of the Shen family seemed to have a confrontation. Once they started eating, when Ye NanQi took a bite of Sixi meatballs, the father and son pair looked at him with shining eyes. Shen Du asked: “Guess who made this?”

Being stared at by them this intense, Ye NanQi felt numb on his scalp. Fortunately, since he was well-fed by Shen Du, with just a bite, he could tell by the taste whether it was made by Shen Du or not. He shook his head, and his eyes were cunning: “It tastes better than what you made.”

Father Shen’s little tension and nervousness immediately turned into a smile, and he glanced at his son rather proudly.

Shen Du shrugged helplessly.

After eating, Father Shen took out the homemade cakes and divided them into pieces given to each person. The rest was given to Mother Shen. Then the couple, while hand in hand, went to walk in the garden by themselves.

Shen Du didn’t like sweets very much. After eating the cake with two bites, he turned his head and saw that Ye NanQi had already finished eating. He was in the middle of stretching out his red tongue and licked the cream on the corners of his lips, and lowering his head to lick the cream that was stained on his lower finger. Shen Du found that something was wrong with this picture, and immediately averted his eyes elsewhere as if he didn’t see anything.

Even if someone didn’t do it deliberately, a random movement was still very sexy.

Suddenly, Shen Du’s mouth was dry. He handed the cake to Ye NanQi naturally, saying, “I don’t like sweets very much, but it’s a pity to throw it away. Do you want it?”

Ye NanQi hesitated a bit, but still took it and ate without bothering that the cake had been already bitten by Shen Du.

Shen Du thought that this was probably an “indirect kiss”, and his heart was even more itchy. He wanted to hold Ye NanQi and kiss him now.

The two sat quietly for a while, then Ye NanQi’s cell phone rang. He touched his phone and looked at the caller, then glanced at Shen Du. Rather than getting up to take the call, he sat down firmly, “Officer Li?”

Li Hengran’s voice was low: “Qian Qian had an accident.”

Not long ago, Qian Qian suddenly collapsed after being poisoned and sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.

It was Li Hengran’s direct subordinates who took turns on duty. They could be regarded as someone who had a fateful friendship relationship with him.

He believed that by having them standing on guard and watching him all the time, this kind of thing wouldn’t happen.

Ye NanQi’s complexion rose, “What’s going on?”

“In the afternoon, Qian Qian’s elder brother came to visit Qian Qian. Except for that, there was nothing else that looked strange… or maybe it was strange but someone was helping them conceal it.”

Ye NanQi immediately understood the reason behind Li Hengran’s depressing tone.

He suspected that there were traitors hidden among his men.

Ye NanQi didn’t have many friends, let alone an experience of fateful friendship relationship. Which was why he couldn’t understand this fateful friendship relationship that Li Hengran had. However, even if he couldn’t tell how Li Hengran’s feelings right now, he was sure that Li Hengran must be feeling very restless.

After a moment of silence, Ye NanQi asked, “How is Qian Qian now?”

“Saved, but still in a coma.”

Same condition as those thugs who kidnapped Jiang YanYu before.

Li Hengran breathed a sigh, “However, there is also good news. The party that you went to not long ago, I checked the people on the list one by one and found that these companies that had started business 7 or 8 years ago which had no original involvement started to cooperate in business more and more frequently. It’s hard to say which business they’re starting now, but from the beginning of their frequent exchanges, the stars on the list have disappeared one by one.”

Looking in this direction, there should be a breakthrough.

Ye NanQi said: “The Xue family should be the first leader at the beginning.”

However, since the Xue family was gradually weakening, it wasn’t necessarily for the Xue family to lead in that organization now.

After making the phone call, Ye NanQi’s face, which was relaxed a while ago, became heavy again. Shen Du couldn’t help but reach out and touch his head: “There will always be a way.”

Ye NanQi nodded absent mindedly.

It didn’t take long for Mother and Father Shen, who went for a walk in the backyard, to return. Mother Shen pointed to the small round jar that Father Shen was holding and smiled: “This wine was made by your father on my birthday last year. I just remember just now and dug it out and it was already ready to drink. Today I am happy. Let’s have a taste and drink together.”

Ye NanQi had recovered his ordinary mild smile. He got up and opened the seal, and watched Shen Du fetch a few exquisite and beautiful small wine glasses and poured in them one by one.

There were many things he was worried about in his heart, and after drinking two glasses, he got dizzy. Telling himself that he couldn’t be drunk, but he still wanted to close his eyes and didn’t want to do anything; just wanted to take a break for a while.

Shen Du noticed his condition. He put down his wine glass, and helped him to go back to the room first. He half-hugged the man as he set him down on the bed.

Ye NanQi closed his eyes. He was drowsy and was about to fall asleep; suddenly there was something soft rubbing on his forehead.

His body suddenly stiffened. He didn’t want to understand what was going on. However, at the next moment, those two warm lips fell on his own.

Ye NanQi’s drunkenness and faintness were suddenly washed away. His heart almost jumped out of his mouth as he thought vaguely: Did he accidentally touch it?

This idea declared bankruptcy when Shen Du pried open his lips and put his tongue in.

Ye NanQi suddenly opened his eyes and pushed Shen Du away. He sat up on the bed with his cheeks covered in rosy red color. His voice was trembling with shock: “You… what are you doing?”

Shen Du, in the middle of stealing incense and jade, was caught on the spot. Fortunately, Shen Du’s face was thick enough, and he immediately stabilized. His expression was calm and his answer was quite straightforward: “Kissing you.”
(Note: committing sexual activity in secret lol.)

Ye NanQi’s mouth was wide opened. His moist red lips still looked quite seductive, but without knowing all of this, he pointed to himself unbelievably: “Are you drunk? I’m not Jiang YanYu.”

Shen Du stared at Ye NanQi, his eyes contained a hard to understand emotion. As a “victim”, Ye NanQi didn’t dare to look directly at him. He lowered his head, and heard Shen Du sigh.

Shen Du naturally regretted his impulse, but unfortunately he wasn’t a saint. Seeing the person he liked lying on the bed defenseless, lips slightly opened, face reddening; he was looking so lovely that he couldn’t help but kiss him without restraint.

Since The plan to save the country step by step in an indirect way had completely failed, Shen Du decided to simply break the pot and became reckless: “I’m not drunk. I know who you are.”

During this time, he had been thinking about giving Ye NanQi a little more romance before confessing his love. He had prepared a lot of flirtatious love words, from ancient to modern Chinese, as well as in foreign language. However, when things suddenly got out of control, he also forgot to come up with those complicated love words, and finally, what hovered in the bottom of his heart were only the words “I like you”.

He liked Ye NanQi… Even if Ye NanQi left him, didn’t believe him or stay far far away from him after his confession, he still liked Ye NanQi and would pursue him until this person was willing to look directly at his way, his feelings… and become his own person.

Ye NanQi suddenly felt a little panicked at the bottom of his heart. As if he had felt something in advance, he immediately interrupted Shen Du’s words that were about to exit: “I have something to tell you.”

Shen Du swallowed back the words. He gently looked at Ye NanQi, using his patience that he had never had with anyone other than his family.

Ye NanQi’s expression was calm when he spoke. He smiled and faced Shen Du, saying, “Let’s get divorced.”

The atmosphere in the room became frozen.

Ye NanQi didn’t notice Shen Du’s expression. He said it again lightly and quickly: “This had been a planned divorce at the beginning, and it won’t be good to drag on for so long. The divorce agreement has been prepared and it’s still in my room. You’ll see it when you go back tomorrow. I have already signed it. If you have no objections, sign it. After two days, you’ll get the divorce certificate.”

Seeing that Shen Du was still silent, Ye NanQi ignored the intolerance and sourness slowly rising from his heart; his smile remained unchanged: “Rest assured, I will return the house given by Auntie, and the money is still all in my room, untouched. My luggage, I’ve already sent it back to my house. By the way, don’t worry about Auntie, I will explain to them after a few days… ”

“When did you plan this?”

The smile on Shen Du’s face had disappeared, and there was no expression on his handsome face. His eyes stared at Ye NanQi without blinking, his complexion was cold and frightening.

Ye NanQi hadn’t felt this kind of oppression of Shen Du for a long time, and felt uncomfortable. He wanted to stand up and left but felt that it was inappropriate, then he continued to sit back down on the bed and said, “It’s been a while.”

Very nice.

Shen Du’s face was indifferent. Here he was thinking about how to confess his love to Ye NanQi, yet Ye NanQi was planning a divorce.

He suddenly smiled, reached out and held Ye NanQi’s face, gritted his teeth and said, “Ye NanQi, when will you change your rotten problem! If you face any problem, you face it alone, on your own. Is it easy to draw conclusions without discussing with others? Divorce? Have you asked me?”

Ye NanQi looked at him quietly: “Aren’t you happy that you can divorce?”

“Happy?” Shen Du savored the word in his heart, the smile on his face could make people shiver on their back. “Yeah, I’m so happy to death.”

Ye NanQi noticed something was wrong. As soon as he wanted to shift his position, he was pressed to the bed by Shen Du. He looked up at Shen Du, and his brain began to be in daze—how did this development differ from what he imagined?

Shouldn’t Shen Du be happy that he could finally get rid of him and couldn’t wait to sign the divorce agreement? Then they would break apart; going their separate ways, and going back to their own homes. The ending was good.

Why look at his expression now… as if Shen Du couldn’t wait to eat him.

He was so messed up in his head that he forgot to resist. Shen Du looked down at him like a prodigal wolf with his teeth preyed on his prey.

“Divorce? Not a chance!”

Ye NanQi was awakened, and afterwards he wanted to break free, but he was held down firmly by Shen Du’s hand, and his whole body was almost pressed on him. Holding him tightly, his voice was full of anger.

“Don’t even think about leaving me.”

Ye NanQi was stunned.

Shen Du was so angry that he was no longer polite. He lowered his head to bite those hateful thin lips, which made him feel wronged.

He had been exposed anyway, it was better to take advantage of this opportunity to teach the other some lessons.

*forgot to update info; Taizi ch 5 is pretty long (15,000 in words or more, roughly counted). Originally it’s divided to 2 parts, but I’m challenging my capacity and plan to post it whole. Lol bless me.*
