Can I Connect To Your Wifi? Ch 11

(How long has it been since I was absent? A month? T≈T I don’t remember but it was about the end of last month that my busy work schedule kicked in. Me and my team had to use our brain cells to complete several projects more than 10 hours 6 days a week. With all of the energy used during the day, there was nothing left after work which I no longer had the spare energy to translate. My little brain was about to crumble down. T-T

The work seems a little less busy now that I feel like I’m alive again. And once again, my Chinese is not good, neither is my English. But I’ll try my best to make the translation make sense. So forgive me ~ and thank you. )

Chapter 11: WiFi Signal

Translator: マイ

Ti Xiao usually used QQ to contact his editor about his works or discussion of manuscript.

His QQ and Weibo account had the same avatar of little bun perking toward the sky, and his style of drawing shown in those accounts was also very vague, like the kind that would make people suddenly want to drive towards the edge of the city. (Getting drunk)

His WeChat was used to connect with family and friends; the nickname, the avatar and drawing style shown were more serious and proper.

Most of his contents posted online were simple, not too eye-catching, and his vest for drawing comics was also tightly covered. Just looking at the words written in his moments, you can’t tell what Ti Xiao does for his job.

After all, he was an artist whose job was to draw Danmei, and from time to time he needed to draw a wave of spicy hot pictures.

If this kind of thing was known by a third-party/his friends, Ti Xiao felt that he could bury himself alive in any minute.

Especially not Xiao Yao.

As for Xiao Yao, he wasn’t a person who likes to spy on other people’s lives either. Not to mention that he just got the other person’s account today, so he wouldn’t go online to check on it in the first place. However, after seeing Ti Xiao’s WeChat nickname, he smiled.

Magic Conch Shell.

The avatar was SpongeBob holding a small snail in his hand.

This time, the cognition of Little Bunny could no longer be called a higher level; it was just simply heavenly.

Xiao Yao looked at what he had entered in the dialog box, and felt that after sending it out, Ti Xiao might reply to him, “Why don’t you ask about the Magic Conch?”

After thinking about it, Xiao Yao still added a sentence and sent it out.

Past: Do you have anything you can’t eat? Like coriander or something. (Me! I can’t eat that thing.)

(XY’s WeChat nickname written in English.)

He had just returned to China less than a month ago, and Xuancheng was no longer like what he remembered. In the early years, all of his brothers and friends had also gone abroad, and he himself had no idea what good things to eat or where to play now.

Only a few days ago, he asked one of his students about this after class.

There was a little girl named Ti Nanyi in his class. Although her grades were a little bit poor, she was still quite clever, and her recent quizzes also had made significant progress.

She also recommended him to a restaurant with a good rating. Even saying that she often ate out with her family in this restaurant, and also sneakily said in English that it was suitable for two people to date; however, she used the wrong word.

In response to this sentence, Xiao Yao punished her to copy the phrase “dating with someone” a hundred times.

However, what concerned Xiao Yao was that the surname “Ti” wasn’t a common surname. In the first grade he taught, there was only one Ti Nanyi who had that surname.

After learning that Little Bunny also had the same surname, he was surprised, but didn’t really read too much into it.

After all, there weren’t many people with the surname “Xiao” either. He himself was in the same situation, so why bother wondering about other people’s surname.

After Ti Xiao got home, even before he could check Xiao Yao’s moments, he received a reminder message from his editor. Because the serialization platform’s APP would rectify the module next week, and the change happened to be on the same day as the new release of Ti Xiao’s new serial, he was notified to update it earlier.

While he was drawing the plot of the two protagonists having a meal together in the comics, where the Gong asked the shou if he had anything he shouldn’t eat, such as coriander or green onions, he received a message from Xiao Yao.

The collision with reality, making him feel like he was there on the scene.

He could get drunk tomorrow!

Such a killing strike!

The image throughout the rest of the situation filled his brain. Ti Xiao was a picky eater, but he still thought carefully about what he couldn’t eat.

Coriander, carrot, celery, preserved eggs, cordate houttuynia, etc. If he really wanted to finish listing all of them, he could probably finish it with a full page of B5 comic paper.

But in front of Xiao Yao, he certainly couldn’t tell him that he could not stand these things. After all, people want faces, and he didn’t want to leave a bad impression of a picky eater either.

Ti Xiao thought about it, and tremblingly chose a few dishes he hated the most and sent them to Xiao Yao. He even said indifferently that he wasn’t very picky about anything.

While waiting for Ti Xiao’s reply, Xiao Yao kept changing Ti Xiao’s saved name in passing; from Ti Xiao to Little Bunny, then again from Little Bunny to Ti Xiao.

In the end, he chose to use Little Bunny.

Little Bunny: Ah, I’m not very picky. Just that I don’t eat coriander, carrots, and preserved eggs.

(Here TX used 胡萝贝: Hu Laobei. Kinda cute.)

Xiao Yao was puzzled when he saw the word Hu Laobei. But after thinking about it for a while, he then realized that it was carrot(胡萝卜). Feeling that the other party was indescribably cute, and with a smile on his face, he replied.

Past: OK, then I’ll contact you this Sunday.

After sending this sentence, Xiao Yao put down his mobile phone and prepared for a lunch break. After all, there were still two more classes in the afternoon.

Ti Xiao, However, after seeing the word, this Sunday, he remembered something afterwards.

He had agreed to the neighborhood committee’s uncles and aunts to help draw the community’s Winter Solstice blackboard poster. Now there was only less than a week left before the Winter Solstice started. According to past experience, it took about two or three days to complete the drawing. Now that the weather was freezing cold, the estimated speed of drawing should be slower. Moreover, the bulletin board had to be hung up several days in advance.

Ti Xiao calculated the things that needed to be solved before the Winter Solstice, then rushed to draft, drew the blackboard, then ate.

Originally, it was safe to hand in the manuscript until next week, but now it had to be handed in ahead of schedule due to the revision.

In this way, time was quite tight for him.

And it made Ti Xiao almost go crazy. In the past few days, he also promised the readers that he would broadcast live.

Forget it, Ti Xiao shook his head and threw away all the distracting thoughts. In order to have a smooth meal with Xiao Yao, he had to work hard and fight!

In order to solve the problem of rushing drafts, first, Ti Xiao sent a message to Ti Nanyi, telling her that he would start the hell of rushing draft mode in the next few days, and she should not come to his house at noon, and just deal with it by herself for lunch.

Ti Nanyi, who didn’t have a lunch break, instantly replied to the message.

Ti Nanyi: In order to make up for the missed lunch these days, you buy me a skin* xixixi.

(*I’m not sure what this skin refers to either; probably a character’s skin?)

(Xixixi: laughing sound)

Ti Xiao gave her a red envelope of 100 yuan in a bad mood.

A Skin is 188! I have scored 83 points in the English quiz these days.【akimbo.jpg*】

Ti Xiao sent her another 100 yuan. After thinking of the naughty nature of this girl, he gave her another 50 yuan.

Magic Conch: with this two hundred and fifty, take it and go to sleep.

After he drove Ti Nanyi away, another message from QQ popped up.

Only then did he remember the Duck Neck In Despair that had been left neglected for a while.

When Ti Xiao looked at the chat interface, Ya Bozi had already withdrawn the two easy-to-beat messages, restored to previous cute state, and gave Ti Xiao a Weibo link.

(Ya Bozi: Duck Neck)

Duck Neck In Despair: Thank you Ma’am. ~ 【(๑╹ڡ╹ )╭ ~ ♡】

The top one on Ya Bozi’s Weibo was her new serialization with nine long pictures. Ti Xiao patiently read about a few posts, and found that this person’s work was indeed okay, so he helped forward this Weibo under the urging of Gua Pi.

Xiao Yao, who was preparing for class in the office, heard the sound of his mobile phone prompt. He picked up the phone and found that it was the author Da A’Ti who had posted a Weibo.

Wise and Courageous, Bravery Da A’Ti:  help forward//@Charming and Cute Duck Neck In Despair: new serial…

Ti Xiao, who may not have a very good subjective impression of Ya Bozi, didn’t finish reading this Weibo after forwarding, but Xiao Yao read it completely.

In the 9th picture, Ya Bozi wrote a line―”As a thank you all for coming all the way here, I’m giving you a small welfare. Q3Q”

Downward was a black-and-white comic, which seems to be an excerpt from the middle. Two naked men entangled together, with an ambiguous signal, and gasping syllables were placed on the side.

Their excitement, applauding for love, making people seem to be able to feel through the screen.

Xiao Yao felt that his eyes were blind for a moment.

The chemistry teacher in the same class happened to come to him to talk about the changing class. At the same time, Xiao Yao snapped his phone on the desktop as soon as he caught a glimpse of the picture, scaring the chemistry teacher away; his face turning dark.

Xiao Yao frowned and stared at the phone, a little displeased. How could this author forward anything this messy. What an hell…

Wise and courageous? I’m afraid you are not.
